for migrants integration: results of the LISTEN online survey"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Storytelling is a useful tool to learn how to communicate<\/strong>, keep in touch with the others and&nbsp;<strong>express<\/strong>&nbsp;our own&nbsp;<strong>inwardness<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What if the storytelling is used as&nbsp;<strong>educational method favoring migrants integration<\/strong>&nbsp;inside local communities?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you to everyone who contributed in our research, we received&nbsp;<strong>208 answers from 13 countries<\/strong>&nbsp;to LISTEN survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The survey has been launched last May to understand&nbsp;<strong>how trainers and facilitators feel about storytelling<\/strong>&nbsp;and the idea to&nbsp;<strong>connect it with radio broadcasting to give refugees a voice in their new communities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The results<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among all the impressions, here are the main conclusions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the storytelling approach is well known;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>many have experiences with storytelling from teacher\u2019s\/ trainer\u2019s perspective;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>see positive effects of using storytelling in their work with migrants\/ refugees;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>are open to use storytelling and radio broadcasting in their work .<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nevertheless, the respondents found out that therefore:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>they need more competences in: storytelling, intercultural communication\/ awareness, media competences and technical expertise<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>challenges to do radio are seen in: their learners\u2019 language skills, radio station access, and lack of technical skills as well as conceptionalization of radio programmes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/listen.bupnet.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/LISTEN_survey-results.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external noreferrer\" title=\"Read all the results!\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">Read all the results!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Training Course<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Based on the above results, the partners have met on 7th and 8th September 2017 in Athens (Greece), and worked on the&nbsp;<strong>development of the training modules<\/strong>&nbsp;that will be implemented during the&nbsp;<strong>Training Course<\/strong>&nbsp;hosted by Verein Multikulturell in Innsbruck (Austria)&nbsp;<strong>from 22nd to 26th January 2018.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The training modules will be available in a&nbsp;<strong>Guideline for&nbsp; trainers and multipliers<\/strong>&nbsp;that want to apply the LISTEN approach to use storytelling as a tool for enhancing and validating competences among refugees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About LISTEN<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/project\/listen\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">LISTEN<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 Learning Intercultural Storytelling is two year project co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 2 \u2013 Strategic Partnerships in the field of Adult education.<br \/>The LISTEN project aims at introducing storytelling approaches and techniques to a radio environment as a binding factor which brings social and personal benefits for refugees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The partnership is made up seven partners out of six European countries:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bupnet.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external noreferrer\" title=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">BUPNET Bildung und Projekt Netzwek Tyrolean Integration Centre<\/a> (Austria),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.social-empowerment.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external noreferrer\" title=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">Active Citizens Partnership<\/a> (Greece),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Skelleftea (Sweden),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.blinc-eu.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener
