{"id":53557,"date":"2017-10-06T11:38:46","date_gmt":"2017-10-06T09:38:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/youth\/tell-your-story-stories-of-many-young-people-told-through-digital-tools\/"},"modified":"2025-07-16T10:02:44","modified_gmt":"2025-07-16T08:02:44","slug":"tell-your-story-stories-of-many-young-people-told-through-digital-tools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/youth\/tell-your-story-stories-of-many-young-people-told-through-digital-tools\/","title":{"rendered":"Tell your story: stories of many young people told through digital tools"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Storytelling&nbsp;<\/strong>and&nbsp;<strong>digital story mapping:&nbsp;<\/strong>educational tools made available to our international young people to tell us part of their&nbsp;<strong>personal life paths<\/strong>&nbsp;related to&nbsp;<strong>early school leaving<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From&nbsp;<strong>18<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;to 22<sup>nd<\/sup>&nbsp;September 2017<\/strong>&nbsp;the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/project\/tell-your-story\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Tell Your Story<\/a>&nbsp;<strong>training course<\/strong>&nbsp;took place in Palermo, at CESIE. The project involved&nbsp;<strong>18 NEETs<\/strong>&nbsp;from&nbsp;<strong>16 to 25 years old<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 young people who are not in education, employment, or training&nbsp; \u2013 and&nbsp;<strong>1 trainer per partner organisations<\/strong>&nbsp;coming from 6 different countries: France, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, UK and Belgium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The youngsters, selected for their&nbsp;<strong>common early school leaving experience<\/strong>, had the opportunity to spend&nbsp;<strong>5 intensive days sharing their stories<\/strong>&nbsp;through several tools. They have been able to deepen what&nbsp;<strong><em>storytelling<\/em>&nbsp;<\/strong>means and which are the ways to tell a story, focusing then on&nbsp;<strong><em>digital storytelling<\/em><\/strong><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here they explored the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.arcgis.com\/features\/index.html\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\"><strong>ArcGIS<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;platform, a tool provided by&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eurogeography.eu\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">EUROGEO \u2013 European Association of Geographers<\/a>&nbsp;to create&nbsp;<strong>personalised maps<\/strong>. Connecting with their own&nbsp;<strong>emotional past experience<\/strong>, participants revisited their&nbsp;<strong>personal life\u2019s moments<\/strong>&nbsp;and selected some memories to integrate in their personal storytelling.
