{"id":53440,"date":"2017-07-28T12:40:11","date_gmt":"2017-07-28T10:40:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/migration\/art-and-migration-journeys-festival-catch-up\/"},"modified":"2026-03-13T09:24:26","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T08:24:26","slug":"art-and-migration-journeys-festival-catch-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/migration\/art-and-migration-journeys-festival-catch-up\/","title":{"rendered":"Art and migration: JOURNEYS FESTIVAL catch-up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Is it possible to share\u00a0<strong>life stories<\/strong> and <strong>change point of view on migrants through arts<\/strong>?<\/p>\n<p><strong>What if \u00a0art could universally and effectively respond to this global challenge and to promote refugees integration?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.journeysfestival.com\/journeys\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">JOURNEYS FESTIVAL- Refugee Journeys International<\/a> shared the <strong>trip of refugees&#8217; women and men<\/strong> that have started a<strong> brand new life in Palermo<\/strong>.\u00a0From <strong>16<sup>th<\/sup> to 25<sup>th<\/sup> June 2017<\/strong>, <strong>languages<\/strong> and <strong>visual contributions<\/strong> were cause for <strong>comparison<\/strong> and <strong>reflection<\/strong> involving associations and local realities that work in close contact with refugees. In particular, we organized<strong> three different activities open to the citizen<\/strong> such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/cesie.ngo\/videos\/10158801474460557\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\"><strong><em>Look-Up<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong>:<\/strong>an exhibition by <strong>Luca Delfino<\/strong> that represents the stories of 6 refugee women. You can visit the exhibit at CESIE office.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/qEEDviNPP-4\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\"><strong><em>Journeys- storie di migrazioni<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong><em>:<\/em><\/strong> a short film by J<strong>ean Paul Barreaud<\/strong> and <strong>Alessio Algeri<\/strong> about migration in Palermo. The project was created by the original\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.journeysfestival.com\/journeys\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">Journeys Festival International<\/a><\/strong>, born in Leicester in 2013, extended to Manchester and Portsmouth.
