{"id":53315,"date":"2017-05-02T10:17:31","date_gmt":"2017-05-02T08:17:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/migration\/arise-entrepreneurship-to-integrate-migrant-women\/"},"modified":"2025-07-31T14:48:52","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T12:48:52","slug":"arise-entrepreneurship-to-integrate-migrant-women","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/migration\/arise-entrepreneurship-to-integrate-migrant-women\/","title":{"rendered":"ARISE: entrepreneurship to integrate migrant women"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br \/>From 6<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;to 7<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;April 2017, the kick off meeting of&nbsp;<strong>ARISE Appetite for Enterprise<\/strong>&nbsp;took place in Palermo at CESIE premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim of the ARISE project is to&nbsp;<strong>promote the social and entrepreneurial capacities of migrant women<\/strong>&nbsp;through the development and exploitation of<strong>&nbsp;food-related knowledge<\/strong>&nbsp;and skills that provide possibilities for&nbsp;<strong>income-generating activities<\/strong>. The project will foster the development and implementation of&nbsp;<strong>economically sustainable food-related innovative business ideas<\/strong>&nbsp;in order to promote mutual learning between the culture of migrant women and the one of the welcoming communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project\u2019s partnership groups six organisations from different Countries:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>CESIE (Italy), lead parter f the project,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.4-elements.org\/en\/home\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">Four Elements<\/a>\u00a0(Greece),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vnb.de\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">Verein Nieders\u00e4chsischer Bildungsinitiativen e.V.<\/a>\u00a0(Germany),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/elaninterculturel.com\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">Elan Interculturel<\/a>\u00a0(France),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.migration.cc\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">Verein Multikulturell<\/a>\u00a0(Austria),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.folkuniversitetet.se\/In-English\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">Folkuniversitetet, Stiftelsen kursverksamheten vid Uppsala Universitet<\/a>\u00a0(Sweden).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project is funded by the DG Home Affairs of the European Commission through the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/home-affairs\/financing\/fundings\/migration-asylum-borders\/asylum-migration-integration-fund_en\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meeting was a useful and productive moment to<strong>&nbsp;settle the project strategies<\/strong>&nbsp;and better define future activities.
