Match – Enhance social inclusion and equal opportunities<\/a> intends to foster an increased participation of refugees <\/strong>and local young people<\/strong> in sport activities<\/strong> and to create a constructive dialogue between different social groups.<\/p>\n

The Kick-Off meeting took place in Palermo from the 20 to 22 February 2017, in the CESIE headquarter.\u00a0 It has been an opportunity to identify the main points of the initiative and to prepare the ground for the next steps; significant was the presence of HANDALA that showed the long experience of Mediterraneo Antirazzista <\/a>and the requalification of certain public spaces in Palermo.<\/p>\n

Given the difficulties of bringing together local youth, refugees and different social groups, MATCH <\/strong>(co-funded by the Erasmus + Programme, Collaborative Partnership in field of Sport<\/a>) <\/strong>want to use sport to drive the change towards an inclusive system, reinforcing the idea of sport<\/strong> as a tool for social inclusion<\/strong> and raise awareness of its potential.<\/p>\n

In addition to some training courses at transnational and local level, in the next 2 years several activities will take place in the all the six countries involved (Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Netherlands, Spain): requalification of public spaces in favor of sport, implementation of sports tournaments directed to youth, organization of Festival Antiracist etc.<\/p>\n

The system identified by the project is to strengthen the cooperation among operators in the social and sport sector in order to mutually use the skills possessed in educational and sport field. These ones, following an international training course <\/strong>on sport as a tool for social inclusion (Palermo, July 2017), will have the opportunity to train young local and with migration background to become the “sports educators” and through the local activities of the project disclose the skills acquired in disadvantaged context.<\/p>\n

In this respect, CESIE is looking for 4 figures<\/strong> (2 from the educational\/social sector and two from the sport field) motivated to follow a path of growth within an European project and available in acquiring skills useful in order to deal with disadvantages group.<\/p>\n
