Using the storytelling approach<\/strong> in a radio environment<\/strong> as a means of communication and a way of integrating refugees in the community<\/strong> has a great potential to attract and motivate people to learn, to connect with others and to express themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the objective of the new 2 years\u2019 Erasmus+ project called\u00a0LISTEN \u2013 Learning Intercultural Storytelling,\u00a0<\/strong>whose Kick-Off-Meeting was held on 27th and 28th February 2017 in G\u00f6ttingen (Germany).
In good and inspiring atmosphere representatives of all seven partners out of six European countries \u2013\u00a0BUPNET Bildung und Projekt Netzwek GMBH\u00a0(Germany),\u00a0Verein Multikulturell \u2013 Tyrolean Integration Centre\u00a0(Austria),\u00a0Active Citizens Partnership\u00a0(Greece), Skelleftea (Sweden),\u00a0Blended l<\/a>e<\/a>arning institutions\u2019 cooperative<\/a>\u00a0(Germany), the\u00a0Community Action Dacorum<\/a>\u00a0(United Kingdom) and CESIE (Italy) \u2013 discussed ideas and objectives of the project. It was a very good opportunity to meet and get to know the partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LISTEN offers a common approach to personal development<\/strong> and learning that has the potential to unite the different sectors in a community because of being interactive, immediate and very personal. Through storytelling, refugees will be motivated to express themselves and share their life story with the hosting community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main target group<\/strong> of LISTEN is the large professional category of training providers<\/strong>. They will be invited to join the project activities<\/strong> and to develop new professional competences and skills<\/strong> or expand the existing ones, in terms of tailored training methodologies for refugees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These new professional competences will be validated through a powerful and well known validation system called LEVEL5<\/strong> that will be adapted to the specific learning patterns of LISTEN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first output consists in conducting research on storytelling methods<\/strong>, technical specifications and Actors mapping through a desk research, online questionnaires and focus groups<\/strong> in each partners country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
