The POLYGLOT project<\/strong>, which aims to promote the learning of a second foreign language among children between 0 and 6 years old<\/strong>, made various progress recently.<\/p>\n

In the last three months, important steps have been made for the realization-finalization of free online courses for parents and educators<\/strong>, two different targets that have a fundamental role in teaching a second foreign language to children 0-6.<\/p>\n

The POLYGLOT partners – First Private School Leonardo Da Vinci (Bulgaria), CESIE (Italy), Baby Erasmus (Spain) and CARDET – Center For Advancement Of Research And Development In Educational Technology (Cyprus) – involved several parents and educators in testing the course, which consists of 5 modules<\/strong> and several open educational resources<\/strong> (OER).<\/p>\n

The online courses purpose is to give effective tools<\/strong> to educators and parents in order to promote bilingualism<\/strong> in the school and family context.<\/p>\n

During a recent online meeting, the project partners have met to discuss about the courses. They will meet in Innsbruck<\/strong> for the fifth and final meeting from the 7th<\/sup> to the 10th<\/sup> May<\/strong> hosted by the organisation Kindervilla. The project will end in August 2017.<\/p>\n

POLYGLOT is a 3-year project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 2 \u2013 Strategic Partnerships in the field of school education, aiming to foster language learning from an early age by exploring the potential of Open Educational Resources and the new opportunities offered by media and by the use of mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.<\/p>\n
