YouthMetre project partners conducted a research consulting and analysing reports and official documents from the European Commission and other relevant scientific papers that explore the impacts of the European youth policy on the young Europeans.<\/p>\n
The main research findings are summarized in 20 points covering all eight key areas of the <\/strong>EU Youth Strategy<\/strong><\/a>: education and training, employment and entrepreneurship, health and well-being, participation, voluntary activities, social inclusion, youth and the world, creativity and culture.<\/p>\n The research is addressed to policy makers and youth workers and it is aimed at providing these groups with a solid background on the present framework of youth policies in Europe and on the impact that they have on youth population, useful to orient future choices.<\/p>\n During the third international project meeting<\/strong>, held in Brussels the 8th<\/sup> and 9th<\/sup> December, YouthMetre project partners discussed the results of the research and other important project achievements, such as the improved version of the \u00a0YouthMetre<\/strong><\/a> on line tool<\/strong> and the completion of the Study Groups<\/strong><\/a> organised across Europe in the previous months.<\/p>\n The main topic addressed in that occasion was the Youth Metre Train the Trainer<\/strong><\/a>, developed on the basis of the research and of the work done with the study Groups. This Training aims to: inform youth workers, teachers, educators on the EU Youth Strategy; explore the concept of young people participation in the democratic life; share knowledge on the use of YouthMetre as a tool that provides important information, statistical data, infographics and how to use this information to advance advocacy initiatives towards policy makers.<\/p>\n The Training will be tested in Brussels the 16th<\/sup> and 17th<\/sup> of February with a group of 20 youth workers who will act as multipliers delivering the training course in their context of origin. The objective of this process is to provide young European innovative participatory tools and methods to reach policy makers with proposals and ideas on how to improve their situation at local and European level.<\/p>\n February is also the month of the official launch of the YouthMetre e-tool in presence of representatives of the European institutions that deal with youth policy, education and participation.<\/p>\n The Launching event \u201cYouthMetre.
