{"id":53063,"date":"2016-11-18T16:56:59","date_gmt":"2016-11-18T14:56:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/adult\/aldia-need-analysis-report-and-focus-group-on-training-pedagogy-and-tools\/"},"modified":"2016-11-18T16:56:59","modified_gmt":"2016-11-18T14:56:59","slug":"aldia-need-analysis-report-and-focus-group-on-training-pedagogy-and-tools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/adult\/aldia-need-analysis-report-and-focus-group-on-training-pedagogy-and-tools\/","title":{"rendered":"ALdia: need analysis report and focus group on training pedagogy and tools"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The second Design Meeting of the <em>ALdia project was organised at CESIE\u2019s office o<\/em>n the 7<sup>th<\/sup> of November 2016. <strong><em>ALdia &#8211; Accessible Learning design, implementation and accreditation<\/em><\/strong> is a project aimed at contributing to the removal of barriers that prevent students with disabilities from participating or completing vocational training or university learning paths.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meeting involved 8 people belonging to the ALdia Focus Group, who already took part in the <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/adult\/aldia-focus-group-apprendimento\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>first design meeting on the training needs of the target groups <\/strong><\/a><strong>on June 27<sup>th<\/sup> 2016<\/strong>. The focus group includes a sample of the target groups of the project, namely professionals from HE\/VET sectors working with disabled students, university tutors and disabled students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The second design meeting was a chance for participants to have an active role in proposing specific <strong>methodologies and tools to be adopted in the ALdia MOOC training programme<\/strong> which will be developed by the consortium and piloted with HE\/VET professionals interested in the field of accessible learning design.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>key features<\/strong> identified for such a MOOC included training on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">types of disability<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">accessible learning tools (Brail screens, vocal synthesis)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">psychological and psycho-educational preparation for lecturers and educational staff<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">legal notions (e.g. EU\/National provisions about accessibility)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">objective-led training process schemes<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">methodology testing and autonomy development<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">group activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Other design meetings on training pedagogy and tools are being held in the other partner countries (Spain, Greece), and their results will be integrated into the <strong>Report on methodologies and tools<\/strong> which will represent a focal point in the development of the training contents.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The second design meeting proved to be another great chance to actively involve the target groups in the development of the project results, getting a direct feedback by the stakeholders. The effectiveness of the design meetings is also proved by the quality of the Report <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/libreria-digitale\/educazione-formazione\/aldia-needs-analysis\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>Supporting students with disability in HE and VET &#8211; A needs analysis<\/strong><\/a>, available for download on our <strong>Digital Library<\/strong>. The report\u00a0 is based on data collected through the administration of questionnaires to HE\/VET professionals and disabled students as well as on the joint reflection carried out during the first design meeting about the needs of disabled students and of HE\/VET professionals working with them.
