{"id":52915,"date":"2016-08-30T10:36:20","date_gmt":"2016-08-30T08:36:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/adult\/smart-reports-and-handbooks-now-available-for-download\/"},"modified":"2016-08-30T10:36:20","modified_gmt":"2016-08-30T08:36:20","slug":"smart-reports-and-handbooks-now-available-for-download","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/adult\/smart-reports-and-handbooks-now-available-for-download\/","title":{"rendered":"SMART reports and handbooks now available for download!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edu-smart.eu\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">SMART \u2013 Second-chance schools working with systematic measurement of outcomes<\/a> is now coming to an end after a two-year joint work which involved 7 partners from Denmark, Ireland, Belgium, Italy and the Netherlands, representing University, second chance schools, regional authorities and civil society organisations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The objective of the SMART project is to help education providers evidence their success factors, <strong>enhancing the quality and relevance of the learning offer<\/strong> in education, training &amp; youth work, thus contributing to prevent school drop-out and promoting participation of disadvantaged groups in society.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project outputs, which were developed in order to reach this goal, have been finalised and made available on the project website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edu-smart.eu\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">www.edu-smart.eu<\/a> as well as on CESIE\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/libreria-digitale\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">digital library<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The first phase of the work carried out within the project led to the delivery of the <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/libreria-digitale\/educazione-non-formale\/smart-literature-review-report\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Literature Review report<\/a>, giving an insight of the existing practice of measuring and evidencing success factors in second chance education, highlighting good practices and identifying gaps and making recommendations. Later on, a <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/libreria-digitale\/educazione-non-formale\/smart-analisi-bisogni-insegnanti\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Needs Analysis report<\/a> was prepared in order to analyse the needs of the teachers\/trainers working with disadvantaged groups in second chance education provision.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Based on this, the <a href=\"http:\/\/52.38.131.123:8080\/smstool\/login\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">Systematic Measurement System e-platform<\/a> started to be developed as a tool for organisations to conduct self-monitoring and self-evaluation to measure performance in second chance education and non-formal learning, suggesting methods, tools and a menu of quality indicators to be used in order to implement the <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/libreria-digitale\/smart-quality-evaluation-tools\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Systematic Measurement System<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition to this, three handbooks were developed and are now available in English, Italian and Danish, addressed to 3 different target groups:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/libreria-digitale\/educazione-non-formale\/smart-handbook-policy-makers\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Handbook for Policy Makers<\/a>, includes policy recommendations and guidelines to support policy makers in making informed decisions about funding for second chance education or the adoption of its methods into mainstream education.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/libreria-digitale\/educazione-non-formale\/smart-teachers-handbook\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Teachers\u2019 handbook<\/a> is a guide which complements the teacher training module delivered during two training events held in Ennis (Ireland) and Palermo (Italy), with a view to enable teachers and trainers to implement self-monitoring and self-evaluation of their teaching practice providing guidelines for implementing the process, good practices, templates and tools.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/libreria-digitale\/educazione-non-formale\/smart-linee-guida-organizzazioni\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Guidelines for Organisations<\/a> describe how organisations can integrate the measurement of soft skills in second chance and non-formal education settings.
