\"TATRAC,<\/a>The local final seminar of the TATRAC project took place on 19th<\/sup> of May 2016 at the Central Building of the University of Catania, hosted by the Industrial Engineering Department of the University of Catania, Partner number 5 of the project.<\/p>\n

TATRAC \u2013 Tissu Associatif et Transfert de Connaissances<\/a> is a cross-border cooperation project supported by the ENPI Italy-Tunisia 2007-2013 programme, aiming to encourage society to play an active role in the process of innovation and enhancement of scientific knowledge.<\/p>\n

The seminar was attended by several representatives of the project group, composed by Tunisian institutions (Agence Nationale de Promotion de la Recherche \u2013 coordinator; Institut Sup\u00e9rieur des Beaux Arts de Nabeul; Ecole Sup\u00e9rieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales; Institut Sup\u00e9rieur d\u2019Histoire du Mouvement National) and Sicilian institutions (Societ\u00e0 di Gestione della Valle d\u2019Ippari, CESIE, University of Catania).<\/p>\n

The seminar kicked-off with an introduction about the project by the ANPR (project coordinator), and a presentation of the training path by CESIE, partner in charge of following the work carried out by the selected organisations within the project.<\/p>\n

During the seminar, organized and hosted by the University of Catania, responsible for the environment and renewable energy area within the project, two academics from the University of Catania intervened about the topics of global climate change and water pollution.<\/p>\n

The last part of the meeting was focused on a brief description by the ANPR with the support of CESIE of some of the project ideas developed by the Tunisian organisations based on the training path and the transfer of good practices between Tunisia and Sicily. The ANPR and CESIE presented also the first version of the main outcome of the project, the knowledge transfer guide (\u201cGuide de transfert\u201d), a product made up of two booklets: awareness-raising guide (\u201cGuide de Sensibilisation Patrimoine\u201d) about the common heritage between Italy and Tunisia, outcome of the joint work of the Tunisian partners of the project, and the training guide (\u201cGuide de formation\u201d) about the contents of the training path, jointly developed by the Italian partners. The two guides are now being printed and will be published soon.<\/p>\n

The seminar was also an opportunity for celebrating the 40th<\/sup> anniversary of the cooperation between Tunisia and the European Union<\/a> , and it ended with an insight on the main features of the new ENI Italy-Tunisia 2014-2020 programme, held by a representative of the Joint Technical Secretariat of the programme, Department for Planning of Sicilian region.<\/p>\n

In order to present the final achievements of the TATRAC project, on June 3rd<\/sup> and 4th<\/sup> a big international educational seminar will take place in Hammamet (Tunisia)<\/strong>, during which the final version of the guides will be presented.<\/p>\n
