{"id":52624,"date":"2016-01-19T12:57:32","date_gmt":"2016-01-19T11:57:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/research\/eco-citizenship-international-meeting-in-palermo\/"},"modified":"2025-07-30T14:24:44","modified_gmt":"2025-07-30T12:24:44","slug":"eco-citizenship-international-meeting-in-palermo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/higher-education-and-research\/eco-citizenship-international-meeting-in-palermo\/","title":{"rendered":"Eco-Citizenship: International Meeting in Palermo"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Everything is ready for the international meeting of STEP BY STEP. 9 partners from different EU countries will meet in Palermo to discuss about&nbsp;<strong>eco-citizenship<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>energy savings<\/strong>&nbsp;and on the progress of the project in the partners\u2019 city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In fact, STEP BY STEP is a project funded from&nbsp;<em>the&nbsp;<strong>European Union\u2019s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme,&nbsp;<\/strong>which aims to improve citizens\u2019 habits and consumers behaviours in terms of energy savings and environmental awareness.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>STEP BY STEP is an innovative project (based on the webplatform\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gd6d.eu\/index.php?r=site\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external noreferrer\" title=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">gd6d.eu<\/a><em>) which has promoted eco-friendly behaviours in the cities where is under implementation:\u00a0<\/em>Gent (Belgium), L\u2019Alcudia (Spain), Warsaw (Poland) and Cefal\u00f9 (PA, Italy). Infact:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>96 % of people agreed to be recontacted and so to give a feedback about the actions they have decided to try<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>85 % agreed to try at least 1 very concrete action of eco-citizenship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, a conference will be held on&nbsp;<strong>Wednesday 20<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;January 2016<\/strong>, starting from 4.30 p.m., at the&nbsp;<strong>Municipality of Cefal\u00f9.&nbsp;<\/strong>This event will give the opportunity to better understand the project, listening also the experience from partners\u2019organisations which will attend the conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For further information <a href=\"mailto:research@cesie.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">research@cesie.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/flag_yellow_high2-e1413552491763.jpg\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"99\" src=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/flag_yellow_high2-e1413552491763.jpg\" alt=\"European_Union\" class=\"wp-image-12583\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>This project has received funding from the European Union\u2019s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 649733.
