\"ArtS:On 21st<\/sup> and 22nd<\/sup> of October, CESIE hosted the 2nd<\/sup> partner meeting within the framework of the ArtS \u2013 Skills of the creative economy<\/a> project. ArtS is a project co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme KA2<\/strong> \u2013 Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices, Sector skills alliances<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The project was launched in 2014 after the establishment of a consortium made up of partner organizations from Greece, Italy and Spain, with the aim of empowering artists from the Cultural and Creative Sectors<\/em> (CCS) to enhance cultural economy with a view to tackle unemployment at regional and transnational level.<\/p>\n

After the first year of project implementation, the partners met in Palermo in order to discuss about all the outputs developed so far, to define the upcoming project steps, and to draft a comprehensive strategy for the next months.<\/p>\n

The consortium has carried out a mapping of the key skills required in the creative and cultural sector in Greece, Italy and Spain.<\/a> The developed study specifies the training requirements and certification of the target group in the countries involved .<\/p>\n

A needs analysis <\/a>was also conducted in the three countries to clearly illustrate which are the labor market\u2019s needs of the sector .<\/p>\n

According to the needs analysis results, six specific modules will be developed for the following subsectors: Craftsmanship; Art Performance; Literacy; Audio-visual & Multimedia; Visual arts; and three transversal modules: Business Administration; Networking, Communication & Dissemination; Entrepreneurial Skills for Artist & Social Entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the contributions of all partners, the whole debate was enriched with new point of views and suggestions on how to proceed, making the most of the best practices tracked down after one year of development process.<\/p>\n

The meeting also represented an important moment for sharing benefits and difficulties faced so far, so as to discuss viable solutions for the improvement of the ArtS process.<\/p>\n

Finally, the team came up with new ideas to foster coordination, to improve the communication amongst partners, to evaluate what has been done and to guarantee the sustainability of the project.<\/p>\n
