\"POLYGLOT<\/a>The partners of the project POLYGLOT – Multilingual education in preschool age, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 2 – Strategic Partnerships in the field of school education, gathered in Ruse, Bulgaria, on June 25th<\/sup> and 26th<\/sup>. The meeting, hosted by the Bulgarian partner of the project, First Private School Leonardo Da Vinci, was attended by all project partners: Kindervilla (Austria), CESIE (Italy), Baby Erasmus (Spain), \u0130zmir \u00d6zel Fatih Koleji \u0130\u015fletmeleri (Turkey), CARDET \u2013 Centre For Advancement Of Research And Development In Educational Technology (Cyprus).<\/p>\n

The meeting was an opportunity to jointly analyse the project outputs already developed, such as the State of the art reports on bilingual and multilingual education in kindergartens and on web-based Open Educational Resources (OERs) for bilingual education. On top of this, a draft of the Guidelines on how to use web-based OER for bilingual education in kindergartens was presented and discussed by all partners.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the partners also had the opportunity to jointly plan the next project activities, and namely the development of the two Guides and the two E-courses respectively addressed to parents and educators on how to use OERs to foster bilingualism for children in pre-school age. Special attention was dedicated to the arrangement of the piloting phase of these outputs, as well as on how to effectively disseminate information about the project and its results.<\/p>\n

Within the POLYGLOT project, CESIE will be responsible for the development of an e-course addressed to parents on how to use OERs for promoting bilingual education in the home-setting. A draft structure of the course has been presented and discussed with all partners during the meeting in Ruse, and will be used as a basis for the development of the course contents over the next months. After that, the piloting phase will be launched, in order to test the course effectiveness and work on future improvements.<\/p>\n
