It took place in\u00a0<strong>Baida<\/strong> (Palermo, Italy) from<strong> 6<sup>th<\/sup> to 14<sup>th<\/sup> June 2015<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QB5IHXr9Q78\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project has gathered <strong>31 youth workers<\/strong> of different age <strong>from 21 countries<\/strong> of the European Union and South Mediterranean area: Italy, Algeria, Bulgaria, Egypt, Estonia, France, Germania, Greece, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon, Lithuania,\u00a0Macedonia, Morocco, Netherlands, Palestine, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey, Romania.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The training course was dedicated to <strong>social entrepreneurship<\/strong> and <strong>social media<\/strong> to foster youth employability in EU, as well as in the South Mediterranean countries. It aimed to give inspiration, tools and <strong>new methodologies<\/strong> to youth workers by providing ideas on how to create a social business and bring a positive impact on society. The project wants also to ensure <strong>social inclusion<\/strong> and <strong>economic development<\/strong> through social entrepreneurship, as well as discovering the opportunities offered by social media in the promotion of social enterprises and in getting employed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To achieve these goals <strong>different\u00a0methodologies<\/strong>, both formal and non-formal, have been applied by trainers, such as participatory and learner-centered methods, creative thinking methods, cooperative learning, peer learning,\u00a0 learning by doing methods, open space technology (OST) and many more besides.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a result, participants have increased their awareness about social entrepreneurship as a response to <strong>youth unemployment<\/strong> and about the opportunities offered by social networks to facilitate employability. They\u00a0have the chance to promote and transfer to youth in their <strong>local communities<\/strong> their recently gained knowledge regarding social entrepreneurship and use of media in social enterprise.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>SENSE<\/strong>, by gathering together participants from the\u00a0 two sides of the Mediterranean sea basin, acted as a unifying point as well as an extraordinary means of dialogue: participants had benefited from the intercultural, <strong>intergenerational dialogue<\/strong>, mutual understanding and as well, from the dissemination\u00a0of <strong>good practices<\/strong> and case studies among different countries.
