\"Volunteers<\/a>On 4th<\/sup> May 2015 the \u201cVolunteers in Playwork\u201d training of learners\u2019 course came to its end, in the framework of the ViPER<\/a> project, funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme (Training of Innovation action) of the European Commission.<\/p>\n

The 16 participants were able to attend the course in Italian and to look into depth at topics such as: children\u2019s right to play, how play is vital for children\u2019s growth and wellbeing, health and safety measures when working with children, how to include all children in a play situation.<\/p>\n

Moreover, participants were able to apply some of the free play and scrap material notions during play opportunities they created within their centres or family context. The results were excellent!<\/p>\n

Thanks to this pilot phase, that is currently being implemented in other 6 European countries (UK, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Portugal and Turkey), the course will be adapted and published online and free of charge at a European-wide level.<\/p>\n
