\"viper-fine-corso-big\"<\/a>On 15th<\/sup> April 2015 the \u201cVolunteers in Playwork\u201d training of trainers course came to its end, in the framework of the ViPER<\/a> project, funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme (Training of Innovation action) of the European Commission.<\/p>\n

The 10 participants were able to attend the course in Italian and to look into depth at topics such as: children\u2019s right to play, how play is vital for children\u2019s growth and wellbeing, health and safety measures when working with children, how to include all children in a play situation.<\/p>\n

Moreover, participants were able to apply some of the free play and scrap material notions during play opportunities they created within their centres. The results were excellent!<\/p>\n

Thanks to this pilot phase, that is currently being implemented in other 6 European countries (UK, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Portugal and Turkey), the course will be adapted and published at a European-wide level.<\/p>\n

Next week we\u2019ll begin with the learners\u2019 training that will also be a chance for trainers to train others in the wonderful field of playwork.<\/p>\n
