\"viper-innsbruck\"<\/a>Between the 25th and 27th of November 2015, the first European training of the \u201cVolunteers in Playwork\u201d course was held, in the framework of the ViPER<\/a> project, funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme (Training of Innovation action) of the European Commission.<\/p>\n

The training, held by trainer Karen Benjamin of the University of Gloucestershire, gave 20 European trainers the chance to bring back their childhood memories and explore several activities on children\u2019s right to play, the importance of play, play settings and on how to foster children\u2019s free play.<\/p>\n

As a follow-up to the adaptation phase of the course (that already exists in the UK) and to its translation, the six partners will be implementing the course in their respective countries in the upcoming months. In Italy, as of January 2015, CESIE will carry out an initial training-of-trainers and a training for learners, such as people carrying out voluntary work or working in toy libraries, adventure parks, after-school clubs, but also teachers, students, etc.<\/p>\n
