My name is Laura and this year I had the chance to take part to Youth in Action Programme, Action 4.3 – Support to Youth Workers’ Mobility, by doing a 6-month foreign work experience at Aipc Pandora, a non-governmental organization located in Madrid, working in the field of European cooperation.

Since the first day, I found a very welcoming and professional environment. Everyone was very nice and made me feel comfortable.

My tasks were writing proposals under new European programme Erasmus+, and managing the activities for the Evs volunteers (European Voluntary Service).

At the same time, I was involved in the organization of training courses, in particular targeted to volunteers working in the field of Cooperative Development, and in the hosting of youth exchanges.

It was a very good training and day by day I realised that my knowledge about several aspects of project management was increasing. Thanks to this experience, I had the opportunity to experience a different working reality, to improve my professional and language competences and to gain a better understanding of the European dimension of youth work.

The environment at the office was always friendly and amazing and a lot of memories are fixed in my mind.

Sometimes all the words in the world can’t describe the feelings experienced abroad and I can state without any doubt that this experience in Madrid was the most significant professional experience I’ve made in my life.

I am very thankful to CESIE – my sending organization – for believing in me and for giving me a new and exciting life experience.
