It is located about 60 km from Riga and 20 km from the Baltic Sea. The municipality is formed by the town of Tukums and by 10 villages, while the territory, mostly rural, has many natural resources such as woods, lakes and rivers. Just a nice place to spend a year in volunteering!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project, called &#8220;Volunteers for Tukums Region&#8221;, will start on October, last 12 months and involves 3 partners from different Countries (besides Latvia which is the hosting country): Portugal, Germany and Italy (one volunteer for each partner) and will take place in the Tukums County Social Service. This Agency is located in the centre of Tukums and manages several units and in particular the Youth Social Centre and the Disability Day Centre, where volunteers will work.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the youth center the proposed activities are: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>creative, cooking and cultural activities;<\/li>\n<li>indoor and outdoor sport activities;<\/li>\n<li>support in organizing work camps, events and festivals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the Disability Day Centre activities consist of: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>assistance for staff in organizing activities for customers both indoors and outdoors;<\/li>\n<li>creative activities, handcraft workshops;<\/li>\n<li>support customers in daily activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The European Voluntary Service is a unique opportunity for personal and social growth, for learning about other cultures, meeting people from different countries, understanding their ways of living and thinking, and participating in the process of European integration. In addition, &#8220;Volunteers for Tukums Region&#8221;, offer you the opportunity to live in a multicultural environment, surrounded by nature and to participate in the social life of the local community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">What are you waiting for!
