\"Mobilit\u00e0Mobility is currently perceived as the key element of European Union\u2019s policy in the field of education and training and one of the priorities of the Strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training (ET 2020)<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The conference entitled Mobility as a Tool to Acquire and Develop Competences from Childhood to Seniority <\/em>(2011) aimed at providing a forum for expert discussions on the role of learning mobility, which is one of the most effective sources of acquiring transversal competences and which, undoubtedly, promotes the lifelong learning approach.<\/p>\n

Reflections on mobility pertained to a number of vital issues ranging from the role of EU educational initiatives, such as the Lifelong Learning and Youth in Action programmes, through development of new generation programmes for the years 2014\u20132020, to the opening of EU programmes to cooperation with third countries.<\/p>\n

This publication sums up the results of the conference Mobility as a Tool to Acquire and Develop Competences from Childhood to Seniority<\/em> hold on 17\u201319 October 2011 within the framework of the Polish Presidency in the Council of the European Union.<\/p>\n

Attending the Conference was the President of CESIE, Vito La Fata, that contributed with the support of Maja Brkusanin to its success by publishing the article:<\/p>\n
