{"id":51330,"date":"2013-07-12T10:51:43","date_gmt":"2013-07-12T08:51:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/adult\/body-project-capacity-building-for-adult-trainers-in-the-eu\/"},"modified":"2025-06-23T11:31:59","modified_gmt":"2025-06-23T09:31:59","slug":"body-project-capacity-building-for-adult-trainers-in-the-eu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/adult\/body-project-capacity-building-for-adult-trainers-in-the-eu\/","title":{"rendered":"BODY project &#8211; capacity building for Adult Trainers in the EU"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Attending our Grundtvig In-Service training from the 1<sup>st<\/sup>&nbsp;to the 5<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;July in Budapest were &nbsp;adult trainers from Denmark, Italy, France, Hungary, Netherlands, Turkey and Belgium \u2013 sharing their professional experiences and getting new knowledge inputs to be able to construct more inclusive and efficient trainings on issues related to the human body, health, gender, sexuality, disability and interculturality, thereby offering pathways for developing civic, social and intercultural competences and developing attitudes and skills concerning our key-topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The training focused on the necessary competences to deal how to overcome intercultural challenges in training\/counseling\/coaching situations. In other words, to get:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a better understanding of cultural differences in health, gender, sexuality, disability and body;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>skills to reflect on target groups\u2019 and own personal non-verbal behavior;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>skills and facility in preventing or handle cultural tensions and incompatibilities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>integrating the use of structured exercises: role plays, simulations to examine the dynamics of training and counseling experiences;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>communication skills and methodological tools on body, health, gender, sexuality and disability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was a first chance to disseminate the BODY trainers\u2019 Manual. (Available in English, click\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bodyproject.eu\/media\/Manual-BODY-25.06.2013.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external noreferrer\" title=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">here<\/a>).
