This month we will conclude successfully the project \u201cEurasia Wings\u201d, funded by the Youth in Action Programme of the European Union, which involved European and Asiatic young people and enterprises interested in the themes of sustainable consumption and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After an initial research on good practices on sustainable consumption in the local and regional enterprises, young artists and not \u2013 have been invited to participate in the Eurasia Wings competition<\/strong>, in order to produce art pieces related to the 3R Art (Reduce, recycle, reuse)<\/strong>, using recycled materials. The same work was carried out by groups of young people from France, China and Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Specifically CESIE involved a total 16 young artists from Palermo (and a couple of artists from Calabria).<\/p>\n\n\n\n The 8 artistic works have been exhibited at the Cervantes Institute from the 29th<\/sup> May to the 15th<\/sup> June 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The winners of Eurasia Wings (Viola Avvento, Marta Cid Fuentes Guerra, Francesco Di Liberto from Palermo and Claudia Capogreco e Giovanni Longo from Calabria), met in Shanghai last October other 15 young artists from Vietnam, China and France, winners in their own country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For a week the young participants have been living in the arts district \u201cM50 Art Space\u201d, crating together new art pieces related to the 3 R art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In fact, in heterogeneous groups young people have collected various recycled materials to create new works of art and to communicate the importance of recycling, reuse and reduction in our society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Project coordinators met this month in Hanoi in Vietnam, to evaluate the project and work together for his follow-up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
