A resource or a problem?&#8221;<\/strong>, organised together with the Municipality of Cefal\u00f9 and Ancisicilia during the training conference &#8220;Financing of local entities and new taxation of municipalities\u201d on 4th of December 2012.<br \/>\nIn this session, CESIE will present the Europe for Citizens programme and the different opportunities of funding of 2013 for public authorities and civil society organisations. This European programme aims to promote active citizenship and European identity and enhance the sense of belonging to the European Union, and offers the possibility to co-finance actions aimed at the exchange between the twinned cities, and the organisation of events for the debate and the meeting between citizens from different European countries on various relevant topics (from memory to the future of the EU). This programme is of great relevance since 2013 has been chosen as the European Year of Citizens. The first call for proposals is expected on February 2013.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The event will be also an occasion to present the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.project-sole.eu\/the-sole-network\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">SOLE network<\/a> and invite participants to take part of it to foster their opportunities of networking at European level.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Date:<\/strong><br \/>\n4th of December 2012<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Programme:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>9,30 &#8211; 13,30: Local budgets.<\/li>\n<li>15.00 &#8211; 18.00: Local Entities and access to direct European funding.
