\u201cMULTIACTION- Multiple actions against exclusion\u201d<\/strong> (Youth in Action 4.3 Training and Networking), is the second part of a multimeasure project made of 2 TC, based on youth multiple discrimination and social exclusion. It was planned in the framework of the follow up of the EU Year 2010 for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion.<\/p>\n After the first TC in June 2012 \u201cCOYOUTH- Combating multiple discrimination in youth\u201d about concepts and methods to combat youth multiple discrimination, participants will now exchange good practices and learn about specific tools and practical aspects of exclusion and poverty.<\/p>\n Background<\/strong><\/p>\n This TC is going to be held in the current period of growing inequalities and exclusion in Europe, \u00a0where young people are particularly affected by the effect of the economical crisis. For many different reasons, it seems that youngsters suffer twice as more as their elder people of modern social problems. In European Union unemployment rate average was 10.5% in August 2012, while it raised until 22.7% for youth aged 15-24. The risk of falling into poverty, social exclusion and marginalisation is therefore increasing, and new tools to empower youth are needed.<\/p>\n When, who, what and how<\/strong><\/p>\n From December 8th<\/sup> to 16th<\/sup>, all participants will gather in Palermo. Who will participate? Youth workers, leaders and peer educators working with young people at risk or already socially excluded (including those who are victims of multiple discriminations). Participants will actively take part of different activities and topics: understanding poverty and exclusion, work with youngster with few opportunities, communication and conflict management, intercultural evenings, film projections and presentation of the results (open to the local community), discovering the different European partners organisations and countries, etc. Non formal methods will be mostly used during the training.<\/p>\n And then?<\/strong><\/p>\n All participant will be encouraged to create links in between their organisations and consider transnational project planning. The 39 participants and trainers from Italy, Bulgaria, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Malta, Germany, Turkey, Estonia and Slovakia will keep in contact to apply for new projects under the Youth in Action programme. We expect that participants will be apply in the future the tools and knowledge acquired during MULTIACTION, and so the TC will have a multiplier effect contributing to tackling the problem of youth social exclusion and poverty in Europe.<\/p>\n
