{"id":50789,"date":"2012-07-23T15:56:53","date_gmt":"2012-07-23T14:56:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/get-involved\/call-for-european-volunteers-eurasiamerica\/"},"modified":"2012-07-23T15:56:53","modified_gmt":"2012-07-23T14:56:53","slug":"call-for-european-volunteers-eurasiamerica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/get-involved\/call-for-european-volunteers-eurasiamerica\/","title":{"rendered":"Call For European Volunteers &#8211; EurAsiAmerica"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\"EurAsiAmerica_china\" src=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/media\/2012\/07\/EurAsiAmerica_china.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"221\" height=\"165\" \/>It is possible to apply for Eurasia America, the project is a European Voluntary Service for a six months permanency in China and Peru.<\/p>\n<p>If you have between 18 and 30 years old and you want to get involved in the field of sustainable development, in children education, and in improving the human resources of the rural areas\u2026 This is an opportunity to seize!!!<\/p>\n<p>The EurAsiaAmerica project is a European Voluntary Service that involves four organizations and, as the title suggests, other three continents: Pistes Solidaires (coordinator organization), France- CESIE, Italy- Enfants des Andes, Peru- Cango, China.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 volunteers for China, who will leave in November 2012<\/li>\n<li>2 volunteers for Peru, who will leave in May 2012<\/li>\n<li>2 volunteers for China, who will leave in May 2013<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For each volunteer the permanency is of 6 months.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>What is EVS?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The European Voluntary Service is a programme supported by the European Commission and it gives the possibility to young people, aged 18 to 30, to do volunteer work abroad by helping local realities in different fields (environment, art and culture, education, help of the elderly, etc.) It takes place in a different country from the one where the participants live, and it can be in Europe or outside Europe. It can last from 2 to 12 months. The voluntary has the right to have the room and board paid, and a total sanitary insurance (Axa).\u00a0 90% of the transportation cost is funded, the voluntary has to pay just the left 10% of it.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>What is not EVS?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>EVS is not occasional, unstructured, part-time volunteering;<\/p>\n<p>EVS is not an internship in an enterprise<\/p>\n<p>EVS is not a paid job and must not substitute paid jobs<\/p>\n<p>EVS is not a recreation or tourist activity<\/p>\n<p>EVS is not a language course<\/p>\n<p>EVS is not exploitation or cheap work force<\/p>\n<p>EVS is not a period of study or vocational training abroad<\/p>\n<p>EVS is not simply a funding scheme, but a quality model of transnational voluntary service.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CHINA: CANGO (China Association for NGO Cooperation)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cango is a Ngo, with its main offices in Pechino, that works in the development of the rural communities, the protection of the environment, and at a sanitary level. CANGO\u2019s aim is to create a well structured and strong web of organizations.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to have more information about it look on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cango.org\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">www.cango.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Volunteers are asked to help the administrative tasks of the organization: writing new projects and improvement of the existing ones, communication and cooperation with other national and foreign Ngo, research, networking, but also helping the team of Cango in the education in the rural areas, help the organization of workshops.<\/p>\n<p>The transportation costs during the working hours will be covered by the hosting organization. The volunteers will have an apartment to share and they will receive money for food and a pocket money.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PERU: Enfants des Andes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Ngo Enfants des Andes was funded in Peru in 1992 by a French woman with the aim of helping children who live in difficult conditions in Peru.<\/p>\n<p>The organization built a shelter for children and it now puts up 40 children. In 2007 Enfantes de Andes created a centre called \u201cEducation and Solidarity\u201d in Nasca, and in 2009 created a language school that teaches French and English to people working in or studying tourism.<\/p>\n<p>The volunteers will be involved, 7 hours a day from Monday to Friday, in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>recreational\/educative activities with children,<\/li>\n<li>teaching Italian, French and English according to the level of knowledge of the volunteer,<\/li>\n<li>organize workshops with local community on project management and youth initiative.<\/li>\n<li>organize workshops and educative paths on the capacity building of the local community.<\/li>\n<li>follow projects coordinated by Enfants des Andes, in Nasca and in other regions of Peru,<\/li>\n<li>the volunteers will organize awareness campaigns on sustainable development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Volunteers will live in a building of the Enfants et Andes in Nasca, a locality near the Peruvian coast, and will receive room and board, and the reimbursement of the transportation costs and will have the possibility to attend a Spanish course at the arrival.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements of the volunteers<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Volunteers will work in a very unusual social, cultural and environmental context compared to the one they are accustomed to.<\/li>\n<li>We are looking for young people who are very enterprising, who are able to adapt easily and are flexible, who are creative, love children and are interested in the meeting of different cultures.<\/li>\n<li>The volunteers are expected to have a strong interest for\/experience in project management and youth initiative \u00a0within the associations&#8217; sphere of action.<\/li>\n<li>Language skills: volunteers\u00a0sent to China are asked to have a good\u00a0level of English (and possibly a basic level of Chinese) whilst in Peru he\/she will have an intermediate level of English or Spanish.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to apply?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you want to apply send your Curriculum Vitae and a motivational letter in English to sve@cesie.org by the 20<sup>th<\/sup> of August 2012.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is possible to apply for Eurasia America, the project is a European Voluntary Service for a six months permanency in China and Peru.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":7,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[26613],"tags":[],"unita":[],"class_list":["post-50789","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-get-involved"],"acf":[],"aioseo_notices":[],"aioseo_head":"\n\t\t<!-- All in One SEO Pro 4.9.9 -
