On Friday 30th<\/sup> of March, CESIE in collaboration with CENSIS, Center of Social Investment Studies (www.censis.it<\/a>), organized a meeting with students and teachers of the Public Technical High School \u201cDuca Abruzzi\u201d of Palermo. The meeting was structured into two parts, two hours in the morning with up to one hundred senior students and two hours, in the afternoon, involving teachers and parents. The meeting was developed within the Disco.bull project (www.discobull.it<\/a>), \u201cSchool drop-out rate and bullying: what kind of risks amongst the young people?\u201d.<\/p>\n

CESIE, thanks to the collaboration of the school Principal and of the teachers, had the opportunity to show to the present students the European programmes orientated towards mobility, and some exemplar projects of CESIE in this field: Voices III e Ubuntu III. Also, thanks to the direct story of three volunteers, who come from three different countries, the opportunity to live a period abroad it was presented in its simplicity and concreteness.<\/p>\n

During the afternoon meeting with teachers and parents, the attention was focused on the opportunities of collaboration between schools and CESIE. Three key examples of projects that involve schools of Palermo have been shown, (Creative Learning Communities \u2013 http:\/\/www.skillsforme.eu\/<\/a> \u2013 Panormus – www.panormus.eu<\/a> \u2013 APQ \u201cInvent the Future\u201d), and the attendees had the possibility to deepen what kind of opportunities Europe offers for the development of the educational sector.<\/p>\n

The CESIE is glad to dialogue with Educational Institutions, teachers and students, and it hopes that this type of initiatives will continue to be realized.<\/p>\n
