{"id":50297,"date":"2010-12-13T16:13:22","date_gmt":"2010-12-13T15:13:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/in-action\/mobility\/senegal-voices-from-around-the-world-ii\/"},"modified":"2010-12-13T16:13:22","modified_gmt":"2010-12-13T15:13:22","slug":"senegal-voices-from-around-the-world-ii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/in-action\/mobility\/senegal-voices-from-around-the-world-ii\/","title":{"rendered":"Senegal: Voices from around the world II"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1856\" title=\"Senegal\" src=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/155240_463402977346_602487346_5289934_7543653_n-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Senegal\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>by Roberta Lo Bianco<\/p>\n<p>At the end of October 2010, 6  European young people went to Senegal, in the south in the region of Casamance,  to participate  to A European Voluntary Service project that will last 6 months.<\/p>\n<p>Bernardo and Claudia  from Italy (Palermo) ,  Aur\u00e9lien and Cindy  from France, Liisbet from Estonia,  Raphael from Austria; An intercultural group in a new cultural context  so different  from Europe.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a great challenge for them e they are already showing a great desire to get involved, facing linguistic barriers and a lack of comforts.<\/p>\n<p>The volunteers , after an observation phase, thanks of the mentor\u2019s help who is a Senegalese girl  of 25 years old, strong and determined, have made up different workshops that they are carrying out with  big energies and humility:  workshop of animation with the children of the school in Enfance et paix, their Hosting organisation; basket trainings, computer labs,  singing workshops, HIV and Malaria prevention campaigns, Clown therapy in the Department of Pediatrics etc.<\/p>\n<p>The words of one of those volunteers are:  \u201cIs  impressive how much Africa enriches  your life and cares of your soul\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>by Roberta Lo Bianco At the end of October 2010, 6 European young people went to Senegal, in the south in the region of Casamance, to participate to A European Voluntary Service project that will last 6 months.
