International Training and Intercultural evening in Palermo<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Palermo, March 24, 2010 \u2013 The theme of the role of women in promoting sustainable development will be the focus theme of an international meeting which will be held 20 to 28 April 2010 in Palermo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event is organized by CESIE \u2013 European Centre of Studies and Initiatives, and it will be attended by representatives of organizations working in the field (of intercultural dialogue) from Bulgaria, Ecuador, France, India, Nepal, Ukraine, Pakistan, Peru, Senegal, Spain and Sweden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This training meeting is implemented in the frame of the European project Tools for Equal Sustainable Development. The training phase was preceded by a researching\/analysis phase carried out by all partners on the four pillars that support policies for Sustainable Development (society, economy, culture and environment) and above all things, the role played by women in these policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tools for Equal Sustainable Development project will lead the organizations staff to learn and share the best practices developed by different partners. The project will end with a final meeting in India on December 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thursday April 25 will be held an inter-cultural evening at the Carmelitani Monastery (Via G. Grasso 13 \/ A \u2013 Market Balla) open to the people and to all those are interested in getting information about the project; during the inter-cultural evening (in addiction to the representatives of the organizations listed above), there will be present young participants from Austria, Estonia, France, England and Italy who are going to do a voluntary service in Senegal, India and Nepal on April 27 in the frame of a European Voluntary Service project (Voices from Around the World), coordinated by CESIE<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These two projects have been funded by the European Programme Youth in Action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Afterward the international training a toolbox will be created, in which the partners will collect and explicit practical examples and good practices to apply and export in different contexts and countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In order to spread this tool box to the general public and to professionals, will be put in place a campaign of communication and dissemination worldwide.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
