Closing the gender care gap is a structural precondition for gender-equal societies.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Funded under the EU CERV programme, <a href=\"https:\/\/disabilitysupport.eu\/project-detail\/equal-care\/#dse\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/project\/equalcare\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">EQUAL-CARE<\/a> has worked to advance gender equality in the disability care sector, addressing systemic barriers, gender inequalities, stigma and stereotypes, and unequal opportunities for both formal and informal carers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Held on the eve of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women<\/strong>, the project's final conference, on 24 November in Brussels and online, will present <strong>the project's key findings, tools and policy recommendations. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What's on the agenda?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Welcome remarks by Mr. Pietro Barbieri, EESC Vice-President<\/strong>, and presentation of the project's goals and achievements by Disability Support Europe.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Panel 1 \u2013 The gender care gap in the disability care sector<\/strong>: the project's key findings and lessons from the national pilot trainings, with those who experienced them first-hand.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Panel 2 \u2013 From policy to practice<\/strong>: policymakers, social partners and project partners discuss how EU frameworks, notably the future EU Care Deal, and national care systems can further uphold gender equality within the care sector.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Q&amp;A sessions and networking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Participate!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whether you are a policymaker, care provider, formal or informal carer, researcher or advocate, your voice matters in this conversation. <a href=\"https:\/\/disabilitysupport.eu\/events-detail\/upholding-gender-equality-in-the-disability-care-sector-equal-care-final-conference\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">Consult the agenda<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/K11AFhqJCjWZbLJn7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><strong>Register now<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participation is possible <strong>in person at the EESC<\/strong> or <strong>online<\/strong>.
