What do European teachers need in order to teach effectively in a rapidly changing world? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This research report, produced within the XXI-EU-TEACH project, explores four emerging areas that are reshaping teacher education: technological empowerment, sustainable learning, entrepreneurship, and playful learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Drawing on a survey of 415 educational stakeholders and focus groups conducted in Denmark, Finland, Italy, Romania and Spain, the report maps how teachers and teacher educators across Europe perceive these themes \u2014 and how well-prepared they feel to address them in the classroom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
International mobility as a driver of professional development is also examined in depth. The findings reveal strong consensus on what 21st-century teachers need, alongside a significant gap in training pathways to get them there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
