In an increasingly online society, children and adolescents grow up in digital environments that form the backdrop to much of their social, educational and relational lives<\/strong>. In this context, adults play an essential role in guiding younger generations towards a conscious, safe and responsible use of technology<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Safer Internet Day <\/strong>on 10 February 2026, CESIE ETS renews its commitment to promoting digital safety through a wide range of initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the SHIELD<\/a> project, an online training session was held on 2 February to test a new digital platform based on artificial intelligence<\/strong>. Aimed at young people but also professionals, parents and guardians, this tool is designed to identify and analyse dynamics and situations of online gender-based violence, offering concrete support for the prevention of and response to digital abuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The platform<\/a> is structured into seven modules, including theoretical content, quizzes, tests and activities to be carried out with groups. The training pathway explores gender-based violence, its causes, forms and consequences, supporting the recognition of appropriate and inappropriate behaviours in professional, educational and digital contexts. It explores the concept of consent and various strategies for respectful and safe relationships, as well as providing good practices for a protected online presence. Participants will gain knowledge about legal protections, prevention and available support, while also promoting gender equality, inclusive attitudes and the ability to contribute to a society free from violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SHIELD project represents a concrete example of how building a safer digital environment is a collective and intergenerational commitment<\/strong>, requiring the active participation of different professional profiles and age groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only through shared responsibility is it possible to provide younger generations with an online space that is safe, respectful and capable of fostering healthy and inclusive relationships<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
