In a world where sustainability is a priority, new skills<\/strong> are needed to address the twin transition: green and digital.<\/strong> Society is facing a shortage of professionals capable of leading this change - both in the public and private sectors - and vocational education and training<\/strong> (VET) provides a crucial response to develop innovative and sustainable knowledge, steering the world of work toward a more responsible and competitive future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the goal of the ADDUPT project<\/strong>: to integrate green and digital competences into vocational training programs in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro, contributing to the dual transition toward a more sustainable and digital future. Over three years, the project has followed a structured path divided into three phases, building a concrete bridge between education, innovation, and the green labour market<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first phase,<\/em> ADDUPT carried out a broad participatory analysis<\/strong> to explore trends in the green sector and identify emerging skills in the Western Balkans. In collaboration with transition-oriented enterprises, institutions, and local stakeholders, the project defined the real needs of the new green economy, laying the groundwork for vocational education that responds to today\u2019s environmental and social challenges<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recognizing the crucial role of trainers and educators, the second phase<\/em> transformed the research results into an online, free capability-building program<\/strong><\/a>, focused on developing digital micro-learning resources. These flexible and innovative tools serve as an effective way to update curricula and provide accessible, dynamic learning paths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third phase<\/em> brought the results to life. Three virtual mobility exchanges connected trainers from different countries, encouraging the exchange of experiences and the creation of 60 digital micro-learning resources<\/strong> in seven languages<\/strong><\/a>, covering sustainability, green and digital skills. These resources have been integrated into the Vocational Education and Training Action Plans<\/strong> of the Balkan partner institutions. Such initiatives have strengthened the development of a shared, more sustainable, innovative, and interconnected training system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ADDUPT is not just a project, it represents a decisive step toward vocational training as a driver of the green and digital transition<\/strong>. The project, nears its conclusion, marks the beginning of new collaborations and joint initiatives for a greener and more resilient Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
