How can we transform awareness about energy saving<\/strong> into a measurable, engaging, and daily habit? As sustainability policies advance across the continent, European Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) face a crucial imperative: not just to reduce consumption, but to inspire their communities<\/strong> towards lasting behavioural change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To bridge this gap, ABCinENERGY was conceived<\/strong>, an Erasmus+ project focused on making sustainable energy consumption commonplace in universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This November 2025 marks a pivotal phase for the project: the pilot test of the Habit Tracker Platform (HTP).<\/strong> This digital platform is not merely a monitoring tool; it is a dynamic, gamified virtual environment<\/strong> specifically designed to measure and, critically, stimulate improved energy saving habits among all registered users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through daily quizzes and an aggregated scoring system, the HTP turns reflecting on one's actions into a healthy competition. This initial pilot phase is engaging students and staff from five consortium universities<\/strong>, comparing their \"sustainability scores\" to see which institution will shine the brightest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The indirect goal?<\/strong> To prompt people to acknowledge their impact and encourage them to improve it in the long term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
