It particularly affects women and LGBTQIA+ people, influencing public debate, freedom of expression, and democratic participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>\u201cStop Hate &amp; Change\u201d<\/strong> path, promoted within the European <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/project\/chase\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>CHASE<\/strong><\/a><strong> project \u2013 Combatting online Hate Speech by engaging online mEdia<\/strong>, aims to strengthen the skills of journalists, media professionals, and communication specialists in understanding and countering online hate speech, in line with the <a href=\"https:\/\/commission.europa.eu\/strategy-and-policy\/policies\/justice-and-fundamental-rights\/gender-equality\/gender-equality-strategy_it\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">European Gender Equality Strategy<\/a> and recent EU initiatives for digital content regulation (such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/commission.europa.eu\/strategy-and-policy\/priorities-2019-2024\/europe-fit-digital-age\/digital-services-act_it\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">Digital Services Act<\/a> and the new <a href=\"https:\/\/digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu\/it\/library\/code-conduct-countering-illegal-hate-speech-online\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">Code of Conduct<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The training will be led by <strong>Debora Barletta<\/strong>, youth worker, international trainer and facilitator, Co-Coordinator of the <strong>Italian National Network for Countering Hate Speech and Phenomena<\/strong>, National Coordinator of the <strong>No Hate Speech Movement Italy<\/strong>, and Vice-President of <strong>APICE<\/strong>. Debora brings extensive experience in raising awareness against online hate and in human rights education, with a participatory and innovative approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The path follows a practical and participatory approach, engaging participants from the very first session through interactive activities and collective reflection moments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Agenda<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1st Session \u2013 Getting Started! Understanding Each Other<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4 November 2026 | 16:30 \u2013 18:30<br \/>An initial session to get to know each other and build the group. Together, we will define group rules, shared objectives, and expectations for the path, starting from participants\u2019 needs.<br \/>We will explore what we mean by hate speech, the main definitions, and its online manifestations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key contents:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Introduction and group building<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shared definition of objectives and code of conduct<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participants\u2019 needs assessment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding hate speech: definitions and context<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2nd Session \u2013 Online Gender-Based Hate: Recognize and Respond<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">6 November 2026 | 16:30 \u2013 18:30<br \/>Through non-formal activities and real-life cases, we will explore the most common forms of online gender-based hate speech and strategies to prevent and counter it, including responsible use of media and communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key contents:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Introductory activity on gender-based hate speech<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analysis of real-life examples and response strategies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support tools and countering strategies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Group activity to build awareness and shared responsibility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3rd Session \u2013 Homo\/Bi\/Transphobic Hate: Building Inclusive Narratives<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">11 November 2026 | 16:30 \u2013 18:30<br \/>A focus on online hate related to sexual orientation and gender identity.
