Reforming the teacher training system in Mongolia: this is the ambitious goal of the RETEACH<\/a> project. The project's first significant milestone came in Palermo, with a training that saw the outstanding partners compare notes on the most innovative methodologies applied in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, in June we hosted the RETEACH<\/a> partnership for the first training, focused on innovation in teacher education. The session \u2013 conducted in Palermo by expert figures from CESIE<\/a>, the University of Palermo<\/a> and Transylvania University in Brasov<\/a> \u2013 involved 37 guests from Mongolian partner institutions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mongolian delegation taking part in the project consists of five of Mongolia's most distinguished universities, as well as the Ministry of Education and Science and two paraministerial bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The common goal is to provide the resources needed to operate a reform of the educational system by Mongolian institutions to constitute teacher education curricula focused on green and digital skills. To acquire the tools and methods needed to effect this reform, sharing the direct experiences of European partners is crucial for the Mongolian delegation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first training focused specifically on the formal integration of these specific skills into university curricula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our staff presented European and non-European initiatives and regulations in terms of green and digital education, also sharing relevant best practices and case studies. The two European universities involved, meanwhile, shared their experience in these areas, describing curricula, regulations, course structures and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training was an opportunity for cultural exchange, made up of gifts, traditional costumes and chats around typical Sicilian foods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the next few months, the European group will work on the development of a Training Kit for teacher training on innovative, green and digital European practices. The Kit, a key tool for planning the reform strategy of the Mongolian partners, will also be used to launch the advanced themes of the next training meeting in Palermo in early 2026, this time hosted by UNIPA<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
