The SafeNet project, funded by the EU under the CERV-2022-EQUAL programme, is dedicated to monitoring and combating online hate speech across Europe. This report outlines the project's first year of implementation and highlights the work of 21 partner NGOs coordinated by the International Network Against Cyber Hate (INACH). In 2023, the consortium documented over 9,000 instances of hate speech, with response rates varying significantly across digital platforms. In addition to monitoring, the report details activities such as partner training, trend analysis, the publication of informational fact sheets, advocacy efforts targeting platform accountability, and widespread dissemination through social media channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
