It is our duty as inhabitants of planet Earth to fully understand what traces in the environment we are responsible for. The first step in achieving this is to educate and make communities aware, creating eco-conscious societies.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was on these premises that GEA<\/a><\/strong> partners gathered in Athens, Greece, for the project's fourth transnational meeting. It was an opportunity to discuss the conclusion of the new e-learning course for adult educators and to plan the next larger action: GEA\u2019s itinerant classes<\/strong>. A process that will involve dozens of adults with fewer opportunities to be active participants in all partner countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GEA's e-learning program is now nearing completion, having trained 15 educators from each country, preparing them on such crucial topics as the use of nonformal and informal education and the use of citizen science to foster participation in environmental initiatives.<\/strong> Educators have taken an active role, devising participatory environmental and climate action projects that will be submitted to local authorities. <\/strong>In the coming months, they will be engaged in at least 5 traveling classrooms per country, where they will present these initiatives to a broad audience of adult learners, offering them practical tools to adopt more sustainable lifestyles through GEA's educational approach!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These tools will also include a Sustainable Kit, containing useful websites and tips, and a printable Guide on how to make our lives more sustainable through small and simple steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
