In the context of a constantly evolving digital world, MEDMAS<\/a><\/strong> aims to enhance media literacy and civic engagement in nine European Union countries. <\/strong>The initiative, coordinated by PISTES SOLIDAIRES<\/strong> (France) and supported by partners across Europe, seeks to combat misinformation and strengthen democratic participation by engaging a wide range of social groups<\/strong>, including children, university students, teachers, and journalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MEDMAS responds to the growing challenge of an increasingly complex media landscape, where fake news and misinformation undermine<\/strong> democratic participation<\/strong>. Among the main activities are the creation of an innovative board game and a mobile app, both designed to develop participants' critical media analysis skills and promote debate.<\/strong> Additionally, the project includes organizing workshops and conferences across Europe to raise awareness and educate citizens, with a special focus on young people and educators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project aims to fight misinformation<\/strong> by promoting media literacy among citizens, involve communities<\/strong> in European public and democratic debate, and strengthen democratic inclusion<\/strong>, with a focus on young people, women, people with disabilities, and mobile EU citizens. Furthermore, it seeks to offer practical learning opportunities<\/strong> to understand the importance of media in everyday life and decision-making processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project plans to deliver 13 interactive<\/strong> workshops on discerning information in the media, 14 practical labs <\/strong>dedicated to young people, and 2 training workshops<\/strong> for teachers. The highlight will be a summit in Brussels<\/strong>, bringing together project partners to share experiences and best practices, promoting a common European strategy for media literacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MEDMAS aims to reach thousands of people across Europe. It is expected that over 12,000 students<\/strong> will improve their critical media skills, 15,000 children<\/strong> will participate in experiential activities, and 900 educators<\/strong> will be trained to tackle the challenge of misinformation. Additionally, the project seeks to engage 5,000 future education professionals<\/strong> and 500 school administrators<\/strong>, contributing to a lasting transformation of educational programs in media literacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to a broad partnership involving organizations from France, Italy, Greece, Spain, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Cyprus, and Croatia, MEDMAS stands out as an innovative project to build a more informed, critical, and resilient European society in the face of the challenges of the digital world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
