The <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/project\/dirasa\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>DIRASA<\/strong><\/a> project (Definition of a Renewal of Research Governance in Tunisia) has published an <strong>Overview of the governance of scientific research in Tunisia<\/strong>, providing a detailed systemic analysis and concrete recommendations and potential strategies to improve the Tunisian research system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The DIRASA Report offers an in-depth assessment of the governance of university research in Tunisia, comparing it with the experiences of European universities. This analysis has included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The analysis of the main documentary sources<\/strong> related to scientific research governance in Tunisia,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The results of a self-assessment questionnaire<\/strong> distributed to the Tunisian universities partnering in the project, which allowed the collection of valuable data on strengths, weaknesses, and development needs, offering a clear view of the current dynamics in which the universities operate;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The feedback from focus groups<\/strong> held during meetings in <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/higher-education-and-research\/dirasa-supporting-development-research-tunisia\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Sfax<\/a> and Monastir and from <strong>interviews with the directors of research governance structures<\/strong> in Tunisia, which proved essential in better understanding the challenges and opportunities in the country's scientific research sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The report focuses on four main areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Organization and management<\/strong><strong> of research<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Democracy of research<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Coherence of research<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Effectiveness of research<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This report represents a strategic resource for planning future activities of the DIRASA project. Capacity-building projects in the field of higher education are transnational cooperation projects based on multilateral partnerships, between Higher Education Institutions and organisations&nbsp;
