Central to the priorities of the European <strong>Green Deal <\/strong>is the activation of <strong>educational and training systems <\/strong>to involve students, parents, and the broader community in <strong>essential environmental changes.<\/strong> Achieving climate neutrality requires innovative and strategic educational approaches to effectively educate all community members on environmental and sustainability issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/project\/ilces\/\" title=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">ILCES<\/a><\/strong> has the goal of<strong> increasing environmental awareness <\/strong>among people of different age groups through an active and critical approach, proposing educational activities to be carried out both individually and in groups. To achieve this goal, the project began by <strong>exploring the existing situation, <\/strong>networks, and activities in the local community related to adult and intergenerational education. Based on these findings, the following resources were developed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/ilces-handbook-intergenerational-learning\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Intergenerational Learning Handbook<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/ilces-guidelines-learning-centres\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Recommendations and guidelines for forward-thinking community learning centres<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/ilces-elearning-platform\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">E-learning platform for intergenerational learning groups<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/resources\/ilces-newsletters\/\" title=\"\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">four newsletters to keep the community informed and engaged<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The success was highlighted by the <strong>collaborative efforts of the various project partners <\/strong>and a strategic local partner in this field: Palma Nana. The cooperative\u2019s activities have always aimed at <strong>intergenerational and territorial involvement<\/strong>, intending to promote the development of eco-friendly behaviors and to recover healthier lifestyles and models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The culminating event of the ILCES project was organized at the Serra Guarneri Environmental Education Center in Cefal\u00f9, in the province of Palermo. More than 40 people participated in the event, which was also scheduled in conjunction with World Environment Day on June 5, <strong>emphasizing the global importance of biodiversity conservation and protection.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Overall, ILCES was <strong>characterized by enthusiastic participation in activities and valuable exchanges on environmental education. <\/strong>The project's efforts highlighted the importance of protecting nature and demonstrated the<strong> vital role of intergenerational learning in promoting a sustainable future.<\/strong> The collaborative spirit and active involvement of all participants laid a solid foundation for future environmental education and sustainability initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Have you already tried to change some aspects of your daily life to be more sustainable?
