Restarting after the conclusion of a prison term is always a complex challenge.<\/strong> Despite the socio-cultural obstacles that can make rehabilitation difficult, it can be facilitated by introspective work to review one's scale of values, identify one's strengths and weaknesses, and develop one's personal skills. <\/strong>On this basis, the importance of alternative educational pathways,<\/strong> focused on enhancing each individual's potential, emerges in order to facilitate reintegration into the community and reduce the risk of recidivism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to gain knowledge about obstacles and opportunities within the prison systems of<\/strong> Road To Freedom<\/a><\/strong> partner countries<\/strong>, and to assess the effectiveness of educational initiatives within their correctional facilities, desk research was conducted.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This investigation laid the groundwork for the next phases of the project, which involved implementing courses based on the F.R.O.G. methodology with young inmates and individuals released from prison. <\/strong>After the completion of these courses, during which participants had the opportunity to experience the F.R.O.G. methodology and its impactful activities, we conducted interviews and focus groups with professionals of the field and individuals within the justice system. <\/strong>We gathered all this valuable information in our field research report, where you can read perspectives on the educational system within prisons from those with direct experience, as well as best practices for change and improvement from professionals of the sectors.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
