In recent years, the European Union has been prioritizing the \"twin\" green and digital transitions to create a fair and sustainable future. <\/strong>This goal is significant as it brings substantial technological and socio-economic challenges. The rapid evolution of these sectors highlights the need for educational and training systems to reflect on the skills and adaptations required to keep pace with changing labor markets.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On January 24 and 25, CONVERT<\/a><\/strong> held its first meeting in Nicosia, Cyprus. Ten partners from five European countries gathered to design a retraining program for non-ICT graduates and junior employees (with up to two years of work experience).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CONVERT aims to offer short-term training courses that use the European approach to micro-credentials, enabling the target group to acquire and enhance digital skills relevant to the job market. <\/strong>This initiative will allow the active workforce to competently position themselves in the market and strengthen their professional roles through significant ICT training.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, the partners are engaged in mapping emerging ICT skills demanded by the job market at national and community levels. <\/strong>They will employ qualitative and quantitative data detection techniques to continue building a training offer that is flexible, inclusive, and industry-oriented, focusing on essential skills in key capacity areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the project <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

CONVERT - Conversion programme to acquire the digital skills needed by forward-looking careers<\/a> is a project funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme \u2013 Partnerships for Innovation. It is a conversion program that aims to acquire the digital skills needed for forward-looking careers. The project will design and administer a retraining program through short-term training courses that enhance the digital skills required in today's digital economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
