Education and vocational training play a crucial role in the inclusion of immigrant individuals. However, vocational training institutions do not always meet the specific needs of these individuals, particularly women, who may face obstacles related to cultural differences, language barriers, and gender discrimination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
InclusionToC proposes the use of the Theory of Change to address the challenges of including immigrant women in education and vocational training in a structured, effective, and sustainable manner. This approach aims to overcome the current lack of differentiation in European and national policies, allowing for adequate consideration of the specific gender and migration-related needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The training program that started in October in Mazara del Vallo concluded yesterday. This was made possible through a fruitful collaboration with the Futura Formazione Institute and the San Vito Onlus Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The program took place within the Inclusion TOC project, which aims to widely apply the Theory of Change in Vocational Training Institutes to create more inclusive curricula for women with a migratory background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In October, training sessions were conducted for the administrative staff, executives, and teachers of the Futura Formazione Institute in Mazara del Vallo. During these meetings, the applicability of the Theory of Change in the local context was discussed, identifying the needs of the migrant community in Mazara. In particular, migrant women \u2013 mostly of Tunisian origin \u2013 expressed a desire to undergo training in entrepreneurship and self-entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the training for Futura Formazione staff, three sessions were directly aimed at the migrant community, specifically its female members. Twenty-five women had the opportunity to learn key concepts of entrepreneurial activity, collectively reflect on a business plan, and develop the visual and non-visual identity of the entrepreneurial activities they wished to undertake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thanks to the support of workers and educators from both organizations, the collaboration proved fruitful and led to the identification of specific needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inclusion TOC<\/a> is a project that aims to use the Theory of Change (TOC) to promote the inclusion of disadvantaged groups such as migrant women in education and vocational training.
