The tourism sector is undergoing profound changes throughout Europe, as we are living in the Project, Digital, Creative, Entrepreneurial and Green Economy era, thus applying a holistic approach to sustainable tourism development is crucial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HyPro4ST<\/a><\/strong> intends to train tourism professionals and project managers to build a network of talent for the growth of the tourism industry<\/strong> by strengthening their skills in the fields of sustainability, digitalization, creativity and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on the initial Labour Market Needs analysis, the new Job Profile of the Sustainable Hybrid Project Manager for the Tourism Sector<\/em> was created, providing a general description of the related responsibilities, emphasising its daily tasks, as well as the soft and hard skills needed.<\/strong> In order to match the current needs and trends of the labour market, the HyPro4ST consortium utilised many EU tools to develop the new job profile such as the Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, the EU Strategy for Sustainable Tourism, the New Skills Agenda for Europe 2030 etc. while two OECD publications and the European multilingual classification of Skills, Competences, and Occupations (ESCO) guided the design of the document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skills and responsibilities of the manager of sustainable hybrid projects for the tourism sector<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new professional should have skills applicable to the field of sustainability and project management. He or she will also need to be able to promote, manage, and monitor the development of sustainable tourism,<\/strong> bringing to bear a variety of skills borrowed from a variety of design fields: from environmental and social focus to entrepreneurship, from digitization to soft skills. In this way, the Sustainable Hybrid Project Manager for the Tourism Sector<\/em> will be able to closely monitor new sustainable tourism proposals and guide existing products toward sustainability goals.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, the new occupational profile is expected to support companies and education and training providers to better manage talent<\/strong> and address skills gaps in education and training programs, thus promoting worker mobility in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HyPro4ST \u2013 Sustainable Tourism Innovation Through Hybrid Project Management<\/a> is a project financed by the program Erasmus+ Key Action 2 Partnerships for Innovation: Alliances 2021 Programme, and it has the objective of Developing a new job profile in tourism sector, aimed to upskill managers, professionals, practitioners and students of the tourism sector: the \u201cSustainable Hybrid Project Manager\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
