School and Europe: for quality, equitable and inclusive education<\/strong><\/em> organized annually by CESIE to offer tools, <strong>practices and methodologies to empower the teaching profession<\/strong>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/project\/my-id\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">MY-ID My Identity, My Idea to be Myself<\/a> project will be presented and especially the project's results, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/myid-project.eu\/media\/my-id-teacher_manual_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">Handbook for Teachers<\/a>: with activities to be carried out in the classroom during specific subjects to integrate sexual and gender sensitivity and a Teacher's Guide on how to implement the activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Handbook for Parents: Compendium of activities (related to the proposed methodology) for parents on how to discuss and understand sexual and gender diversity to directly involve them in the educational process; and the Information Brochure for Parents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MY-ID project supports a comprehensive approach and specific educational actions to address intersectional discrimination and inequality experienced on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual characteristics in school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The specific goals of the project are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To increase sensitivity to sexual and gender diversity in secondary schools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To give teachers the opportunity to begin training on the gender issues and how to deal with potential conflicts arising from them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To inform and guide parents to understand and tolerate\/accept sexual and gender diversity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The free and open event will be held on Nov. 6 starting at 2:30 p.m. at Camplus Palermo, Via dei Benedettini, 5, Palermo, Ground Floor Auditorium Room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remember to register, seats are limited: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.it\/e\/biglietti-eu-school-scuola-ed-europa-per-uneducazione-di-qualita-equa-e-inclusiva-747687061127\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/www.eventbrite.it\/e\/biglietti-eu-school-scuola-ed-europa-per-uneducazione-di-qualita-equa-e-inclusiva-747687061127<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of EU School event, the MY-ID project will be presented and especially the project&#8217;s results to support teachers and parents in discussing and understanding sexual and gender diversity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":12,"featured_media":125738,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[26613,27234],"tags":[45244],"unita":[],"class_list":["post-125741","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-get-involved","category-school","tag-my-id"],"acf":[],"aioseo_notices":[],"aioseo_head":"\n\t\t<!-- All in One SEO Pro 4.9.9 -
