{"id":122226,"date":"2023-07-11T13:01:52","date_gmt":"2023-07-11T11:01:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/?p=122226"},"modified":"2023-07-11T13:03:48","modified_gmt":"2023-07-11T11:03:48","slug":"ploutos-online-community-interpreter-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/get-involved\/ploutos-online-community-interpreter-training\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Participants \u2013 PLOUTOS Online Community Interpreter Training"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Would you like to become a <strong>community<\/strong> <strong>interpreter<\/strong> to support third-country nationals in their inclusion process in the local area? <a href=\"https:\/\/cesie.org\/en\/project\/ploutos\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><strong>PLOUTOS<\/strong><\/a>' <strong>online<\/strong> <strong>training<\/strong>, starting in October 2023, is the one for you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The training is aimed at everybody who is interested in becoming a <strong>Community<\/strong> <strong>Interpreter<\/strong> supporting third country nationals in their <strong>inclusion<\/strong> <strong>process<\/strong> in the local communities and facilitating their <strong>journey<\/strong> <strong>to<\/strong> <strong>autonomy<\/strong> or is already covering such a role and want so deepen their knowledge on <strong>intercultural<\/strong> <strong>mediation<\/strong> <strong>and<\/strong> <strong>translation<\/strong>. It will be implemented as an online course in English language starting from October 2023 facilitated by <strong>Foteini<\/strong> <strong>Apostolou<\/strong> an expert from the School of English, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, leading institution in the Inter-Departmental MA programme in Interpreting and Translation. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-requirements-for-enrolling-in-the-course\">Requirements for enrolling in the course<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will be a suitable candidate if you meet the following <strong>requirements<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>B2 level of English;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>B2 Level of Italian;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prior small experience in interpreting for the community (e.g., in reception centres, supporting migrants in the translation of bureaucratic procedures, at events etc.);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic digital skills to participate in online meetings;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good communication skills;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interest\/ motivation to become intercultural mediators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are interested in participating in the training, apply by September 1, 2023 by filling out the following
