What are the key competences needed for the care of unaccompanied foreign minors?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After two years of research, training and development of materials, the VOLUME project is almost at its end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All the project partner organisations have worked with dedication and passion over the past years to develop skills and materials that are useful, not only to those who worked on the project, not only to the partner organisations, but useful to anyone who has the desire to become part of the world of support for unaccompanied foreign minors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The main outcome of the project is the development of a learning platform containing 5 training modules on key issues of supporting minors for volunteers and professionals and a blended learning curriculum for educators and trainers who wish to train people to support minors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All this, and much more, was presented during the final events held in all partner countries in order to disseminate the results and make them available to a wider audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Italy, the event was held on 25 May in Palermo; it was a moment, not only for presenting the materials produced, but also for exchanging experiences and good practices, analysing the situation of volunteers and professionals and the minors present on the territory and reflecting on issues related to unaccompanied minors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was an interesting moment of personal and professional growth that also allowed for networking among the professionals, volunteers and organisations present. The project is almost over, but the resources produced will be available to anyone who has the desire to contribute to a better present and future for all unaccompanied foreign minors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
