The increasing number of unaccompanied foreign minors seeking asylum in the EU requires adequate support from volunteers who play a significant role in their assistance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
VOLUME aims to provide training and educational material to volunteers and educators to address the specific challenges associated with this population. By offering key skills and in-depth knowledge, VOLUME strives to ensure proper care and integration for unaccompanied foreign minors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the beginning of March, the VOLUME partnership met in Hannover, Germany, for 3 days of training on how to best support unaccompanied foreign minors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3 staff members from each project partner organisation had the opportunity to exchange ideas, opinions, experiences and good practices, attended trainings held by experts in the field of child support, and visited local care facilities, listening to stories and exchanging good practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These were three days of training, education, personal and professional growth, which not only enriched the participants and their organisations, but also added value to the project and the material produced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project's now finalised learning platform was in fact shown and analysed by participants, receiving great positive comments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
