The fourth<\/strong> international<\/strong> meeting<\/strong> of the Skills4Life<\/a><\/strong> project took place at the end of March in Palermo<\/strong>, Italy. The partners gathered to share updates on how the project is progressing in the sheltered settings in each country and how those involved are engaging with the material and activities offered in the centres. In all countries, Skills4Life is progressing, with the project scheduled to conclude by the end of April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting was useful to discuss the next steps for the development of the Skills4Life Guide<\/strong>: an important resource that will provide a strategy for the adoption of the Skills4Life methodology. It will also present a framework of principles and good practices that policy makers, public bodies, schools and interested NGOs can use to strengthen the will for change in each individual prisoner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this way, Skills4lLife takes another step towards its goal: to introduce a curriculum in juvenile prisons and juvenile communities that helps young people in conflict with the law<\/strong> and at risk to reintegrate into society after release. The project also intends to expand the resources and skills of educational staff in juvenile detention facilities and communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Skills4Life partnership will present the results<\/strong> and impact of the project during the EPEA - European Prison Education Association Conference in Norway from 13-17 June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
